Molti trovano motivo di preoccupazione nella strada che la Chiesa sembra avere intrapreso su alcune questioni fondamentali di Dottrina sociale della Chiesa come l’economia, l’ambiente, la fratellanza universale, l’educazione, la società globale e il dialogo interreligioso. L’enciclica Fratelli tutti e le prossime iniziative relative agli eventi dal titolo Economy of Francesco indicano e sollecitano forme di impegno nel campo globale che sembrano contenere aspetti utopici e nello stesso tempo pragmatici.

I principi tradizionali della Dottrina sociale della Chiesa non vengono utilizzati, si adoperano categorie politiche estranee alla tradizione della Dottrina sociale cattolica, sull’economia si danno giudizi sommari di condanna, si mette in questione il diritto naturale alla proprietà privata intendendolo come mero strumento per realizzare la destinazione universale dei beni, si concede troppo alle nuove forme di socialismo e di statalismo, si fa riferimento generico a dei movimenti popolari senza valutazione delle loro identità e finalità usando l’aggettivo popolare e il sostantivo popolo in modo non chiaro, si aspira ad una società globale di tipo universalistico senza troppa preoccupazione di distinguersi da altri simili progetti estranei o perfino contrari al cristianesimo, ci si avvale della collaborazione di intellettuali compromessi nel campo della lotta alla natalità, si accettano forme di ambientalismo ai limiti del panteismo, si propongono come modello le società primitive e animiste, si fanno propri termini e concetti, come quello di sostenibilità, la cui origine è estranea alla tradizione della Dottrina sociale della Chiesa e così via.

Nel Convegno del 18 novembre quattro Relatori, coordinati dal dott. Federico Catani, riproporranno la visione della tradizionale Dottrina sociale della Chiesa su questi problemi, segnalando criticamente alcuni percorsi della Chiesa attuale che destano preoccupazione. Il Prof. Ettore Gotti Tedeschi parlerà dell’economia, il Dott. Stefano Fontana della fraternita/fratellanza, il Dott. Julio Loredo dell’equità/uguaglianza e il Dott. Riccardo Cascioli dell’ambiente. Si tratta dei quattro ambiti che oggi potrebbero essere rivoluzionati rispetto alla visione tradizionale della Dottrina sociale della Chiesa.

Il Convegno è organizzato dall’Associazione Tradizione Famiglia Proprietà (TFP), dall’Osservatorio Cardinale Van Thuân sulla Dottrina sociale della Chiesa e dal quotidiano La Nuova Bussola Quotidiana.

Invitiamo intanto a fissare l’appuntamento in agenda. Nei prossimi giorni invieremo il Programma dettagliato e informeremo sulle modalità tecniche di partecipazione.
