Partiamo da un dato di fatto, riscontrabile nella quotidianità di ognuno: uomini e donne sono diversi. E spesso sono incapaci di comprendersi, accogliersi e valorizzarsi in questa ricca e generativa diversità, che ha segnato i tempi andati, segna l’oggi e segnerà il futuro.
Andrea Torquato Giovanoli, già apprezzato autore di diversi libri, in Cose che una donna – Prontuario di femminismo medievale (Gribaudi, 2018) affronta il tema del femminile 360 grandi, come di consueto condendo la sua scrittura con un pizzico di ironia e simpatici aneddoti familiari.
Ecco quindi che l’Autore affronta dapprima il fatto che uomini e donne sono biologicamente diversi: hanno un corpo diverso, un cervello diverso (sessuato, appunto), predisposizioni diverse, capacità differenti, modi di leggere e relazionarsi con la realtà spesso agli antipodi… e chi più ne ha, più ne metta.
A seguire, la parte centrale del libro è dedicata all’oggi: si parla delle differenti modalità comunicative (con la donna propensa alla lamentela e l’uomo che ha come segno distintivo del proprio linguaggio il silenzio), della differenza tra il materno (accudente e possessivo) e il paterno (volto al taglio del cordone ombelicale), della sessualità, dei ruoli sociali…
Infine, l’Autore getta uno sguardo (preoccupato?) al domani. Un domani dove appare necessario “riscoprire il valore di quella sorta di femminismo medievale, che sotto le tinte bizzarre del paradosso, cela l’atavica sapienza di ogni generazione di donna, fin dalla prima, la quale, nella consapevolezza di essere stata creata in pari dignità, ma specularmente complementare alla sua controparte maschile, riusciva a comprendere la natura profonda di entrambi i generi, nell’assecondare la connaturata disparità dei ruoli e sapendo pure trarre il meglio da ognuno, laddove si applicava con generosità nello sfruttamento delle sue innate doti relazionali. E allora orsù giovani donne, che non tutto è perduto: riscoprite le vostre cinquanta e più sfumature di rosa […]”. E così, uomini e donne saranno più liberi (e felici).
