Le celebrazioni del Natale a scuola? «Io farei tanti passi indietro pur di mantenerci nella pace e pur di mantenerci nell’amicizia». Parole controcorrente, rispetto al dibattito soprattutto politico di questi giorni, quelle pronunciate dal vescovo Claudio Cipolla parlando ai microfoni di Rete Veneta. «Non dobbiamo presentarci pretendendo qualsiasi cosa che magari anche la nostra tradizione e la nostra cultura vedrebbe come ovvio – aggiunge – Se fosse necessario per mantenere la tranquillità e le relazioni fraterne tra di noi, io non avrei paura a fare marcia indietro su tante nostre tradizioni».
Questo è quanto il nuovo vescovo di Padova, Claudio Cipolla, ha detto ieri parlando ai microfoni di Radio Veneta. Capisco che il neo-vescovo voglia differenziarsi da quelle che probabilmente considera strumentalizzazioni politiche o di parte (anche se così facendo sceglie di essere da una parte, consapevolmente o meno); ma sentire un vescovo, un pastore, pronto a rinunciare a pezzi di tradizione e di cultura per il quieto vivere mi provoca una profonda pena.
Anche perché bisogna chiedersi: che amici sono o sarebbero, che fratelli sono o sarebbero quelli che desiderano o pretendono che si rinunci a essere quello che uno è – tradizione, cultura – per esserci amici e fratelli?
Questo tipo di comportamento – l’appeasement – nella storia ha dato risultati pessimi. Con il dialogo questo non ha a che fare; il dialogo presuppone il rispetto reciproco, anche delle proprie storie. Che nella Chiesa sia suonata l’ora dei Quisling?
